About
A small studio on the Royal River.
Royal River Web Studio is a one-person web-design studio in New Gloucester, Maine, building websites for businesses in the towns along the river.
Why the studio exists
Good local businesses deserve to be found first.
Plenty of good local businesses have a website that's years out of date, hard to use on a phone, or missing entirely. Customers searching on a phone often find someone else first.
The studio builds sites that load fast, read clearly and make it easy to call, book or order, at prices a small business can manage.
The studio is new, so there's no portfolio of past clients here yet. That's why every conversation starts with a free homepage preview built for your business: you judge the work on your own site, not on someone else's. You can also see sample designs for fictional businesses.
How the work gets done
One person, from the first call to launch.
You deal with one person from the first call to launch. Design and build work is done with the help of Claude, an AI assistant, which lets a small studio produce custom work quickly and keep prices low. Every page is reviewed and tested by hand, and you approve each stage before the next one starts.
What the studio believes
- Your site should be yours: domain, content and files
- Real photos of your place and work beat stock pictures
- Prices should be fixed and written down
- A site should work for everyone, including people using a screen reader or keyboard
Towns we serve
We're happy to meet in person in these towns, and to work by phone or video anywhere else in Maine.
